What is the hair color products that hair stylists and beauticians use to color hair?Where can I can it from?

I want to buy my own and color my hair by myself. Thanks! What is the hair color products that hair stylists and beauticians use to color hair?Where can I can it from?
Well a word of advice first, there is much to know about color theory, formulation, and the chemistry involved in coloring your hair.... it really isn't as easy as you may think, this is why, drugstore haircolor is for non-professionals, it's pretty much a safe non aggressive type of chemical that any person can put on and take off with minimal damage potential. If you want to try to formulate your own color, take yourself to a Sally's Beauty Supply, this store is open to the public, and go ahead and pick a level and tone and a developer in the proper volume, and stay within the same product line. Go home mix it up put it on, and cross your fingers... I know stylists in the busisness for 5 yrs+ that have yet to become comfortable with the whole formulation process, and they work with it every day.... but if you think you can take a shot at it I wish you good luck and fortune, b/c it's gonna cost a lot of money to have it corrected by a Professional after your done! :-)What is the hair color products that hair stylists and beauticians use to color hair?Where can I can it from?
If you have a professional beauty supply that is where the good stuff is, problem with this is that you need a beauty license to buy any color or bleach products. Second suggestion is to go to a Sally Beauty supply if you have one. You can buy semi-professional products there without a license though I don't suggest doing any bleaching unless you are prepared to lose all your hair in the next few months. You may be able to accomplish it the first couple times but any lightening is better left to a professional. I say this because I have bleached my own hair for years and it is a very tricky process after the second time...the first time you may not leave it on long enough and end up with carot orange, the second time you leave it on longer and it looks a lot better, but by the third time your hair is so fried that it starts breaking off in chunks.

Going darker or just adding color is easy, I don't suggest black though unless you are absolutely positive that this is what you want...it will never come out and you will have to grow it out and cut it all off if you change your mind. Any other color that you add like reds or browns come out pretty easily and you are just as well off going with a Clairol or Loreal box that you can get at Walmart or another drug store.
I'm not sure..but you can probably get it from the beauty salon that you go to.
