I am seeking the best product I can buy. I live in a very small town, so my options are limited to ordering online, or a sallys beauty supply store 3 towns over. I am a medium auburn. Can any professional recoment a product I can obtain that minimizes damage? What hair color product is the healthiest for my red hair?

  • Which hair color product is better, L'Oreal Feria or Revlon Colorsilk?

I have used Ferie once before and came out pretty good. I also used Garnier Nutrisse but it just didn't come out the color they said in the box. So I am not going to use Garnier.

I want to get my hair color like Auburn/Burgundy. (Like Feria #36 or #R37, Revlon #48) My hair is natural dark black.

I know Colorsilk is pretty cheap and read alot good reviews. I also liked Feria but I want to try out something different, and thinking about using Colorsilk this time. But not sure how it works...Which hair color product is better, L'Oreal Feria or Revlon Colorsilk?
Any colour you put in will not work because of your black hair.

For example, take a black crayon and colour a patch on a piece of paper. Now go over it with red.

What Hair Color Product Has A Good Dark Blonde Or Honey Blonde Color?

I need help here...I';m trying to dye my hair either dark blonde or a honey blonde color there is a picture below to a similar hair color i want...I'm hispanic and I have a light skin complexion also i have long black and brown hair and i know i have to use bleach but can anybody help me by telling me what color i can combine and which product that can be similar to the picture below i will go to a professional but i have no money at this point

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c378/DominiCubanGirl/HairColor.jpgWhat Hair Color Product Has A Good Dark Blonde Or Honey Blonde Color?
Try Herbal Essences. It is a really good hair color and ur hair won't feel dried out or stiff. I used it and got really good results. It costs around $10- $12 You can get it pretty much anywhere. What Hair Color Product Has A Good Dark Blonde Or Honey Blonde Color?
either loreal or nice and easy work really well. follow up with color seal gloss(included in the package and available on shelves), once a week. Also use a shampoo for blondes(john frieda or sauve, available in supermarkets), and a conditioner for blondes to help lock the color in, and ensure it dosen't fade

Which hair color product should I go for?

I have about ten gray hair strings in the front part of my head. They are near each other, but each stands on its own (i.e. they don't form a bundle, each is alone).

    Which is better and why?

    1. I found this hair color product. It says on the box that it ONLY colors that gray hair and leaves the natural hair as it is. It is supposed to last for 6-12 shampoos.

    2. I found this product with a brush that is designed to color hair root only, and it is permanent.

I don't want to change my hair color. I just need to cover they gray ones. I'm 25 years old.

Any other suggestions are welcomed. Thanks %26lt;3Which hair color product should I go for?
defiantly the first one if you've never dyed your hair before....Which hair color product should I go for?
Well I would always go with a permanent color because then you only have to touch up the roots and it won't be as damaging to your hair since you will only be depositing color.

A good product I would reccomend would be ION color. Ion color always comes out shiny and healthy looking plus they have a specific line for gray hair. You can find it at Sally's Beauty Supply store or any other beauty supply store I'm sure. Another good choice is Wella (Color Charm) color.

An easy way to apply these yourself is to buy a color bottle. If you try to use a bowl and brush you are more likely to miss spots. What I do is lean backwards over my tub and put the tip of my bottle around my scalp first to get the roots, then apply it everywhere else... You can comb it through if you wish to make sure it covers all your hair.

You can go into any beauty supply store and ask whoever is working to help you match a color to your natural color... therefore not changing your previous color much. Plus they may also have some other ideas that could help.

I suggest getting an all over color because that way your hair will stay all one color, even if it changes shades very slightly. With just covering the gray you risk having streaks where you applied the color.

    Good Luck.
Leave your hair alone....it sounds like a ';birth mark';, so to speak, even though, they are not in a bundle as you say. I have the same thing, and have had it since I was your age, too (25) It will give your hair a little interest. Once you start dyeing your hair, it is a life long process. Either product you choose will not alter the fact you have gray...there will always be a root and maintenance and..... if you use an all-over color, you may not be satisfied with the results....Wait a while until your hair has become more saturated with grays. My friend's daughter is 15 and she has more than 10 gray hairs in her hair. My son was 16 when he had gray all throughout his hair..it seems the darker hair has more tendencies towards more gray strands or clumps of it at a earlier age.
I'd opt for the root only color. Even then, it will probably afftect the surrounding hair. When you put any permanent color on your hair, it lifts your own color out and replaces it with the chosen color. Only after the hair has grown fully out will you ever get your own hair color back.

Try using a Q-tip to apply the color to the gray strands individually and not the surrounding hair. Remember what color is on the box always turns out darker on your hair afterwards.

Maybe a visit to a beauty supply store where they can advise you of a product made specifically for your problem. In my area there is a supply store called ';Sally Beauty Supply';.

Good luck with your project! :)
I think you sould do the first one. My mom uses a coloring like that and I've never seen her whole hair change colors, just the grey. She uses Loreal.

I'm looking for a hair color product with no ammoniac in it...do u know a name?

hey girls i put relaxer in my hair and is really damaged right now...i'm looking for a hair color that doesn't have any ammoniac in it and not permanent!!!!! i would like something like the cellophanes sebastian products, it hidrates your hair it doesn't have any ammoniac or alcohol in it and is not permanent know that permanent color remain on the hair for more than a year lolI'm looking for a hair color product with no ammoniac in it...do u know a name?
Revlon has one. Its like 3$ at walmart. It uses no Amonia. And so far, I have only tried black and brown black and they look greatI'm looking for a hair color product with no ammoniac in it...do u know a name?
Do you mean ammonia? (Not ammoniac.. what is that?!?)

Just go for an ammonia-free temporary colour! Should be easy to find. And I wouldn't worry about alcohol honestly.... yes, alcohol does dry your hair, but it also helps the product to work more effectively. Without alcohol you might be disappointed at the results. And you can always do a deep moisturizing condition afterwards.

If your hair is really damaged have you considered using a protein/keratin treatment... Sally Beauty Supply has one called Ion Keratin Reconstructor but you can look for anything with keratin/protein and/or reconstructor in the name. This is good for really damaged hair but you can't use it too often or it will actually make your hair's quality decrease, it will turn dry and brittle from too much protein.
Try using Loreal. They have hair color with no ammonia.
    DO NOT BUY THE REVLON.

    fermisi is a good product.

but you really shouldn't dye you're hair if you just put relaxer in it. you're hair will take to the color differently then it would of without the relaxer.
All semi permanent colours have no ammonia in them.
L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss. No ammonia. :)
have u tried any of the sexy hair products?

    Hair Color Product? (streekers)?

Where Can I Streekers (a hair color product) ( http://www.streekers.com/faq.html ) in stores because i want to know where to get them other than the internet.

    Streekers Info:

    What is Streekers?

Streekers is true temporary hair color with a difference: not a mascara, not a crayon, not a paint. It鈥檚 instant, liquid, and brushable. Colors are vibrant on blondes or blonde streaks and show as subtle highlights on darker hair.

Does Streekers flake or rub off?

Streekers does not flake or rub off because it is true temporary hair color. It bonds to the hair, unlike mascaras and gel-based colors, which only coat the surface of the hair.

Can I brush my hair after applying Streekers?

You can brush your hair after Streekers dries. After brushing, your hair is soft and the color remains vibrant. Streekers is the only temporary bright hair color that can be brushed after application.

Can I use styling products with Streekers?

Mousse, gel, and other styling products can be used prior to applying Streekers. Hair spray can be used over Streekers.

    How do I apply Streekers?

Lift hair up and away from the scalp in small sections. Apply Streekers to dry hair, from root to tip in long strokes. The sponge-tip applicator makes Streekers precise and easy to apply.

    How do I remove Streekers?

Just shampoo and rinse. For very dry, bleached hair, 2-3 shampoos may be needed.

Can I use Streekers on dark hair?

The blonder the hair, the brighter the color. Colors are vibrant on blondes or blonde streaks. Streekers shows as subtle highlights on darker hair.

Can I apply several different colors of Streekers?

You can use as many colors as you like.

Wait for each Streekers color to dry before adding another color.

    Will Streekers stain blonde hair?

Streekers will wash out of dry or porous hair in 2-3 washings. You can apply styling wax under Streekers, on the areas to be colored, to protect against staining.

Are there any harsh chemicals in Streekers?

There are no harsh chemicals. No ammonia or peroxide.

Can I play sports with Streekers in my hair?

Perspiration can cause Streekers to lift off onto fabrics (towel, hat, etc.).

What if Streekers gets on my skin?

Streekers comes off with soap and water.

    Will Streekers stain clothing?

Streekers will stain fabric and other porous materials.

Should I shake the bottle before using Streekers?

It is not necessary and it is not recommended, as bubbles will form in the liquid. Keep the bottle upright when opening.Hair Color Product? (streekers)?
You can do a search. you have a computer.

What is the hair coloring product?

and tell me why you think it is the best. i have BLACK hair and i dyed i before but my hair is all dried out. i want to dye my hair from black to chocolate brown so i want to know what the best hair coloring product is.What is the hair coloring product?
You should get your hair healthy before you consider doing anything. Use a good protein based shampoo like Redken Extreme.

If you are set on colouring your hair, go to a salon that uses the Chi colours....they have no peroxide or ammonia and are better for the hair

  • Is there a hair color product which is reusable/resealable or is easy to only partially mix?

Well, first off, I'm a guy. I like to lighten my hair a couple shades but my hair is short and grows really fast. Currently I use Sun In and Loreal White Violet conditioner to remove the brassiness it creates. I heard this can get pretty damaging after a while and it's hassling to keep up. I want to switch to something better, more permenant, but going to a stylist is not an option, seriously. I'd be going with a light ash blonde color but need to find a product that is economical as stated in my question above. Is there a hair color product which is reusable/resealable or is easy to only partially mix?
I have to agree with the above, the box dyes have to b used as soon as they're mixed. If your strapped for cash, ebay's good for peroxide cream (cream is easier than liquid!) and powder bleach, just make sure your clear on what you need first. i find using blue bleach rather than white takes the brassiness out, but I dont think that happens on everyone =)Is there a hair color product which is reusable/resealable or is easy to only partially mix?
well you can try this go to sallys beauty supply and get a small bottle of 20 vol proxide and look in the bleach section for small packages of bleach I forget the name but they come in purple , blue , brown , and what you wanna do is get the purple package mix it 50 50 same amout proxide as powder. apply to your hair . the different colors of bleach are the results you want like purple gets it the highest lift brown tones it to a gold . but also what you want to do is apply heat to make it work faster so you get it off faster . do a strand test with a spray water bottle on one strand and wipe it really good with a towel to see if you like the color before you rinse . because it looks like it may be done but it isnt .look real close or you will just get orange .. and not be happy with that . good luck but if you cut your hair alot dont worry about damage your keep it healthy enough with cuts

or choose you favorite Brand, and tell us which one you use, Feria, Nice N' Easy, ColorSilk....Which company makes better hair coloring products? L'Oreal Or Clairol.?
I prefer Loreal Feria because the color always comes out fantastic. This brand does have metallics in it which can be harsh on your hair, so if you use it, make sure you use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week to put moisture back into your hair. Only dye your hair every two months so you don't overdo the color and fry your hair!Which company makes better hair coloring products? L'Oreal Or Clairol.?
I'm so glad you like it!! I use Loreal Feria Chocolate Cherry and it turns my hair a dark brown with red highlights. It's gorgeous!! Especially since my natural haircolor is poop brown. :o) Right now I'm with you on the blonde though...it's fun to go blonde in the summer!!

I think L'Oreal...I visit their website regularly and am always seeing new products. And I have also heard they are attempting to adjust their testing practices.

i've been using L'Oreal since the first day I dyed my hair
Clairol, my friend was bet to dye her hair red if her team lost. she has blond hair. she used Clairol Natural instincts. it looked pretty good after it was all said and done.
    I prefer L'Oreal
I don't like L'Oreal because they test on animals.
Clairol - Balsam: Inexpensive, natural colors, and great product!

    Been using for years!

I believe it's something nice they made for people like me who want to keep there hair up yet don't have the finances to buy 'said' a better, quality product!

Balsam 610 - Medium Ash Brown...

    Thanx Clairol
I've never used L'Oreal, but I've always gotten great results with Clairol (Nice N' Easy and Natural Instincts). I guess that's why I've never bothered trying anything else. The people at the 1-800 number are really good if you have any questions or need help, too.
    Neither...try Manic Panic
L'Oreal, because i never heard of the other one. so if L'Oreal is more popular than it must be better.

What hair color product should I use...? (not permanent)?

I was born a blonde, but as I got older it began to fade and so in turn I started highlighting my hair. A couple of years back however I decided to go for some ';lowlights'; as my stylist called them, and I died the underneath of my hair ';dark brown';. It was terrible, the bottom was black and the top was nearly platinum, while it probably would have looked good on anyone else, the look was not for me. Anyway, point being, although I have cut my hair cut many a times since, it is still a million different shades. In addition, I have four inch roots in a dull light brown. Based on all this ';hair history';, I don't know which color to use to repair the shine and vibrancy to my hair. I have considered going blonder, but have decided to go darker to maybe a carmel brown color or maybe a Mischa Barton type color (now my hair is very similar to that), but I don't know what product to use. I do NOT plan on going to a salon. Are there any products (such as a wash of some sort) that I could use? What hair color product should I use...? (not permanent)?

';Richesse'; by Loreal Its a demi color line (washes out in 8 weeks). I love this line its ammonia free so it wont damage the hair and it gives lots of shine. I like the color ';chocolate'; for a dark brown. The top salons use this line.Hair color product?
i 4got the name but when u go to the pharmacy theres a whole section of hair coloring. choose in there.
You need a semi-permanent - don't go permanently dark - the regrowth of lighter hair when you have gone darker looks awful -worse than black roots when you're blonde!

I use the Botanics range from Boots - they use natural products and they are really kind to your hair - the one I use is Bitter Chocolate.
Try Hidrence. It comes with Pantene conditioner. I have very dry hair and this works very well for me.
You want to look for a semi-permanent or demi-permanent color before you do the permanent color, a drastic change you have to live with. They are completely safe and wash out at the max- 24 shampoo's for the demi-permanent and 8 shampoos for the semi-permanent.

Some good brands are the following:

SoftSheen-Carson's Dark and Lovely Reviving Colors

Clairol's Beautiful (semi) or Clairol's Natural Instincts (demi)

    Jazzing

A semi is gentle any washes out at the max of 8 shampoos and add a richness or depth to your natural color. A demi is stronger and doesn't lift dark to light but it will deposit a darker color onto hair, for example a brown onto a red will become brown. You can only go from dark to light with a permanent color or bleaching. Good Luck!
Try Natural Instincts. It is my favorite.
Natural Instincts is good if your looking for a longer temoprary color but i would stay away from the mouse hair coloring thing (sorry i forgot the name) because when i used it not only did it dye my hair but my scalp to and it felt like my head was burning even after i washed it out.

    Hey there.

Yep, ive been dying for those too man lmao =P

    Well, here in Canada + US, we use something called '; Manic Panic';

They come in gels, and actual dye.

The gels are like every other gel - except it obv. has colour in them, and you could wash it off in the shower =D no damage to your hair.

    Comes in fantastic colours.

For the dye, you gotta bleach your hair. Which is making the spots of ur hair, [the parts u wanna dye] like REALLY LIGHT BLONDE so the colour would be more intense.

Hi I just dyed my hair but the the coloring product burned and scabbed my scalp. What happened?Hair color product? Please help?
u probably scratched ur scalp way too much prior to applying the dye

it happens...keep ur scalp moist and conditioned so the scabs can heal...so dont wash too frequently or use sulfate free shampooHair color product? Please help?
yea u prolly are allergic to that coloring product! that always sucks. There are a couple things you could try. A packet of Sweet-n-Low in hair colour will lessen the amount of irritation (not the allergy though) and some people have some success with Benedryl before colour. It would be best to just do a pre-disposition test. Just mix a small amount of colour and apply it behind the ear or the fod of the elbow. Leave 24 hours and check for irritation.

Other than that, the colour you want can be done in foils, foiling ALL the hair, and applying just off the scalp. Tha way you'll have the colour you want, but just a slight amount of regrowth, avoiding the allergic reaction altogether.

    Best of luck to you.
    ouch.

you had an allergic reaction or didn't follow the instructions on the box.. probably allergic reaction though since its pretty hard to mess up dying your hair that bad unless you do something totally wrong

condition your scalp and hair to soothe it and add moisture back

from now on read the dye box instructions on how to test the hair dye since it will normally tell you to test the hair dye to see if you have a reaction

i never do it but you seem prone to a reaction so its better to be safe
well, it's not really supposed to be that colse to your scalp. and your probably leaving it on too long. use a dandruf conditioner to make it stop and DONT PICK THE SCABBS!
    allergic reaction

If there was no makeup, OR hair coloring products...?

How would YOUR life be.If there was no makeup, OR hair coloring products...?
My life would be just fine because if you think about, how can something be missed that has never existed. If makeup and hair dye never existed, then I would not know what they were to begin with, right? So that means that I would not miss them. Now if for some reason they stopped making them, then I would have no choice but to adjust. Perhaps people would becom less shallow and real about themselves and others so then, we could not hide behind artificial enhancements to ourselves. If there was no makeup, OR hair coloring products...?
If there was no such thing...I think people would not be so down in themselves....always looking in the mirror checking to see if they look alright. Peoples having a complex problems probably would not exist. Make-up, fashion, hair style have taken over so many peoples lives. They feel that they need to look like the people in the magazines to be accepted by society. I think overall people would just be happier with themselves and comfortable in their own skin if they did not have to worry about their looks so much.
Simple and natural. Not really much different from what I am now. I don't wear a lot of make up, sometimes just a face powder and my hair is natural black. I don't color it. Asians are known to have smooth skin and our skin tone is naturally yellow pinkish. So we have a different make up formula specifically designed for asian skin, less harsh than american skin care products.
I wouldn't be affected personally, but a lot of the people who I know would be so I guess that would change my life a little. Overall people would be less shallow without makeup and all of that.
I'd be fine...I could always SPIKE up my hair or make it crazy, and for blonde highlights I could use lemon juice and salt (if that really works, I haven't tried it....YET!!! hehe) I bet people would figure out a way be individuals without that stuff. ^_^
With no make-up: Pretty okay, kinda ugly. LOL.

With no hair coloring products: Fine with me. Nothing would change really. Except that horrible hair accident in 4th grade. I HATED BEING BLONDE! LOL.
well without the hair coloring... EXACTLY THE SAME

without the makeup i would be uglier but only slightly... im pretty naturally pretty... lol

    aint that cool

    xoxo
Well, I'd be spending more time at home.

Not because I look bad without those things.

But because some people are positively scary looking without make up.
    No different.

I'm pretty without makeup - though more dramatic with it. I've never colored my hair.
Grrrrrreeaaattttt! And the problem with overpopulation would be solved! Because you could see what they looked like in the morning before you made that fatal mistake!
fine... makeup should accent your beauty... not make you beautiful... I have curly long hair and would manage...

not that it wouldnt suck cuz it would.
Well I would hate not having makeup but I really wouldn't care at all about no hair coloring products.
My life would be about the same.

I just wouldn't have any eyeliner or mascara.
It wouldn't be that different. Everyone would get to see people how they actually look.
the same thats kinda a dumb question and people wouldnt be so stressed and they would be so much more natural...gosh that would kinda fix a lot of problems if you think about it
still the same...i dont wear make-up nor hair coloring products...without these two items, my life will not be gravely affected...
it will be the same. i dont wear make up much anymore and everyone says i have natural beauty.
I would definitely survive. I don't color my hair like I used to and wear make-up only when I go out, which isn't very often
    Same as it is now.

I have never colored my hair.

    And I rarely use make-up.

So it would be totally fine.
It Would Be No Different. I Dont Wear Make Up. I Have However Dyed My Hair But..... Eh. Nothin Major I Need 2 Have
sucky :[ i dont where alot of makeup, but if i didnt have eyeliner i would die lol
    Hmm retty good.

Honestly I Only tease my hair (Brush)

    Never colored my hair.
The same as it is now, except my hair would be it's original color
    Same....I am a natural beauty !
    BORING!
    I would DIE

NO HAIR COLOURING PRODUCTS ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!
    Better.
Same as always since I don't use those products ^__^
    Extremely DRAB. UGH
I'd definitely have more money for vacation...

My hair wont take hair coloring bought from drugstores, so would sallys beauty be the next resort?

I need a color remover then a color to put over it (double process)

and no i cannot go to salon, i did my research called all nearest salons and the starting price to remove color from my hair is 250 (my hairs thick)Best Hair Coloring Products?
yes, you should try Sally's,and they got good prices. when you go in you should ask for help and make sure what you get will not damage your hair. also read all directions before use. i read all products before i buy because some products you can't use together.Best Hair Coloring Products?
I'd definately check out sally's. I don't know what they're like in your area, but everyone that works there answers all my questions whenever I go in.
color removers are very damaging. unless your hair is black, you probably wont need one. You cant put color on color to make it lighter, but there are other options than a color remover to do so. Such as a heavy highlight, and then tone it to the color you were wanting to acheive. If price is an problem, you could do a partial heavy highlight, and then have that toned, and it should be much cheaper for you, and will have a lovely result. It will have alot of dimension to it as well, rather than a one color.
Professionally I would never recommend a remover first. You may need heat during your processing time. The salon was quoting you a color removing price- not a simple coloring price. You don't need to color remove. They have the proper chemicals and training to color your hair the way you want it. For extra thick hair most salons only charge $10-15 more if at all. I am also wondering if you have put a darker color on first and then are trying to lighten it with another color. That doesn't work for anyone- professional or not. In that case you need to highlight through it.

ok so i want to dye my hair a darker color but not permanently. i was going to go to a store like cvs and use one of the ones in the box, but there is so many different kinds. has anyone done this before? did it work? what would you recommend?

Wats da best hair color product to lighten extremely dark black hair, other than using bleach???

    HI,

I am assuming when you say bleach your talking about clothing bleach, because there is no way anyone can lighten their hair without bleaching it ...it may not be called bleach...but thats what it will be.

.....OK back to your question...lady clariol Ultra blue is good, if you cant find that Born Blonde is also good. I hope you like being a blonde!!.......have fun!!!

PeaceWats da best hair color product to lighten extremely dark black hair, other than using bleach???
Bleaching (Hydrogen Peroxide) is the only option, or a colour with inbuilt peroxide.

However, black hair and bleaching really doesn't work well together.

Please see a qualified hair stylist and weigh up the options with them.Wats da best hair color product to lighten extremely dark black hair, other than using bleach???
Add a booster to your hair when using a hair color. Try Clairol Textures %26amp; Tones for African American women. They have a lot of great shades.
black womens hair lightens a lot easier than most people think. be gentle! esp if you relax it. that process alone lightens your hair. just use a VERY COOL light brown. have the sales person help you with cool vs warm. i would go to a pro tho.

What's the best long-lasting hair coloring product?

It only takes about 5 washes and the color completely fades. However, I need something that doesn't damage the hair, either. What's the best long-lasting hair coloring product?
If you want to use permanent color on your hair, there will be damage no matter what. Only demi and semi permanent hair color doesn't damage it. So if you want to go darker, try PM Shines by Paul Mitchell (demi-permanent). If you want to lighten your hair (or go darker too) use The Color also by Paul Mitchell. This hair color has the same level ammonia no matter how light or dark you want to go which means less damage. It also has a beeswax base which gives shine to the hair and smells like Eucalyptus. What's the best long-lasting hair coloring product?
Well usually the hair colour product that lasts for 3 days is Schwarzkofph Live. I reccommend using Loreal.

What is a good brand hair color product i can buy in the store that will color my hair blonde (not orange)?

first of all, you don't ';dye your hair white';.

you haven't mentioned how dark your hair is. the most you can expect is 2 levels of lift from a box color from the drugstore. basically from a dark brown to a medium/light (if your lucky)brown.

if your hair is really dark, the contributing pigment in your hair is red/orange. trying to lift it with a ';blonde'; dye will only expose this contributing pigment. which is why people end up with orange hair.

you will have to bleach your hair first if it is really dark and you want to go blonde. you have to pull all that dark pigment out. you can't do this with a box from a drugstore.

If your regular hair color is very dark, then you pretty much have to first dye your hair white then dye it blond. Going directly from dark to blond will make it orange as you have experience. My cousin has black hair and had to dye it white before getting it blond.

not sure what your budget is but redken all soft works so great I've been dying my hair for 7 years and this conditioner works very well without weighing it down or getting that greasy look, it looks so clean and so soft, I also use a flat iron to straighten my hair and that seems to get rid of the frizz, silk therapy by BIOSILK is great as a product, a hair serum to put in your hair while it is still wet and that works wonders, my stylist turned me on to all of these when my hair seemed so unhealthy and brittle now I have great healthy looking hair, I hope this helps you I know it helped me.
I've been dying/highlighting my hair for 10 years now, so it goes through it's drying/damaged periods and I've tried everything! Recently I tried Dove Advanced Therapy shampoo %26amp; conditioner for severely damaged hair (in the blue bottle) and it worked great. After a week I saw a big improvement! This also got good reviews on makeupalley.com! Good luck!
See if you can have it trimmed if it is just the ends. Perhaps further washing will help it eventually too.
I use this cheap tub (yes-it's a huge tub container) of stuff called Cholesterol for the hair. I've damaged my hair so many times and this always works. Also-the leave in conditioner from garnier fructis but there's not much in the container.
Use Redken with protein treatment. The exact same thing happened to me and my hair stylist put me on a treatment therapy that really helped my hair. This is what I used:

    - Redken CAT protein reconstructing treatment

    - Redken Extreme shampoo

    - Redken Extreme conditioner

I applied the CAT once a week, and shampooed and conditioned my hair daily. But your hairstylist should be able to tell you what you need to do for your hair.

    Good luck!
olive oil is good.put it on when you are not going anywhere and leave it on for a day.also not washing your hair very often is ment to be good because of the natural oils.
aussie 3 minute miracle is quite good. you can use a natural approach by buying sweet almond oil and massaging that into your hair and maybe leaving it in over night. or you could use coconut oil. you will find that most natural oils are really good for your hair.
First you need to get your hair trimmed and then you need to get a really good conditioner I think infusium makes one that's really good it's a spray leave in conditioner
forget about expensive products...... get some oil (coconut oil is good, but you can use baby oil or even olive oil) and rub it into your hair paying attention to the ends. make sure you cover all of it. leave it in for at least an hour. for better results wrap a warm towel around your hair during this time. then shampoo your hair and condition it as normal. it will take a few shampoos to get all the oil out, but your hair will be silky smooth when you finish.
Trim the ends. After shampoo live conditioner on under the plastic bag.For conditioner you can use GOLDWELL stuff or even K-pack by JOJCO

Hair Color Product that won't damage it?

I would like to dye my hair again using a permanent color but the last time I did it my hair became damaged. What brands are the best. I am an African American, that may make a difference.Hair Color Product that won't damage it?
DO NOT USE BOX COLOR! I repeat.. do not use box color! To everyone reading this, I know what I am talking about. I'm a stylist, I went through Cosmetology school. Box color ruins your hair. Its loaded with tons of chemicals that make you think aren't too bad on your hair but they really are and the longer you use them, the worse damage you are doing to your hair. Trust me. I know it's cheaper to do it yourself but if you want to save the integrity of your hair I would get it done professionally. I would go with Aveda products. Aveda salons are amazing. I work at an Aveda Concept salon meaning we only carry Aveda. Aveda is healthy for your hair and the environment. It is 97% chemical free and all the products are made from different parts of the earth. For example, one of our products Phomollient is made of Marshmallow root.

Please do not use box color! It ruins your hair no matter how ';silky'; or ';soft'; it is. Yes, it smells good too don't buy into that. It's not good for your hair. Spend the extra couple bucks to get it done professionally.Hair Color Product that won't damage it?
    neutragena
i think that going to a salon would be better then doing it yourself. my sister in law does my hair and it looks great. i tried doin it myself once and it didnt look good at all. but doing it yourself is way cheaper. and also finding a good brand of shampoo and cond. for color treated hair also helps.
u should do what Britney spears did and use vegetable dye.
For now I think it would be safe if you just get a Semi- permanent hair color so it won't do much damage to your hair. Not saying that it won't but the effects won't be as bad as permanent. and to be safe but a rinse over top of it or if you like the color that you have after you put the permanent use a clear coat this will protect it from damage.

I hope everything works out !!!
I use Garnier Nutrisse Cream and I think it is much safer than other brands, especially Clairol. Clairol is the worst. I also used Loreal Excellence and that was very gentle to my hair too.
I would go to a professional.
A great hair product that I use is called John Frieda! Its called Beautiful Brunette. To help the color stay in! Try it
I always use henna to have my hair dyed. It protects the hair and gives a natural colour. Moreover, it's natural ...
There are a lot of mass market products out there. It is hard to find the One.... Everything depends on what color are you looking for and how long do you want to enjoy your new radiant color.

Permanent color, unfortunatly gives your hair the worst damage.

Try Clairol Hydriance, Clairol Balsam Color .. They offer not only color, but also nourish your hair with natural oils extracts.

For the best results go to the hair salon, proffesional color and work- proffesional results.

    :)
My hair is curly and I use Hydrance and I think is by Clairol.

What brand of hair coloring product is best?

I have natural dark brown hair and olive skin tone but my hair gets so light from being out in the sun. Since fall is coming I think it would look best if I darken my hair. Should I do it myself or go to a pro? What brand of hair coloring product is best?
for me loreal works in my hair.. im using lofeal 3d ferria.. its nice all of my friends love it and they are using the same product to...What brand of hair coloring product is best?
Revlon. Trust me. Its very cheap and works wonderfully. I use it and I have dyed jet black hair and becuase of it my hair gets really dry. The first time I used revlon i loved it. After you dye it, you put the whole thing of condiotioner and your hair gets very shiny, and smooth. After a couple of uses with it my hair look better than ever. Its only $2.95 or something.
You can do it yourself if you wish. It is a lot easier for you to darken your hair by yourself than it is to lighten it. With a person who has naturally black hair, it is a little more difficult to get the blonde to take in the hair so most of time the hair has to be bleached and that is when you don't want to have to do it yourself. The darker color will definitely take in your hair so it is easy to do yourself. I had blonde hair and I just darkened mine by myself and it was not difficult at all. I used Preference by Lorel and I like it because it comes with a cream that you rub on the ends of your hair so that the chemical does not burn your hair and make it dry. Everyone loves my hair. You will save money if you do it yourself too.
go to a salon...or buy a simipermanent color...it will get your hair back to where you want it and will not be as damaging and will also not have a line of demarkation when your hair starts to grow out
Go to the hair salon for best results and ask for goldwell
You can do it yourself. Try the little purple boxes of Wella , they have some very nice shades.
Go to a salon...I just did exactly that and my low lights are coming thru, not a good look! Plus I had to buy 4 boxes of dye..what I spent doing it myself I could have had a professional do it for the same $$!!

You will probably have to have it colored a few times depending on how light your hair is now. They have to add color back to your hair and that might take a few tries!
I suggest you visit your friendly neighborhood hairdresser.
if you do it yourself use anything BUT herbal essence. It turned my best friend's hair (which was dark brown) an orangish color! it also turned my mom's (which is light brown) orange as well! terrible!
go to a salon to get it colored. but ask for redken shades eq. its only a temporary hair color but it is so much better for your hair and you would be surprised at how long it last.

Aveda by far. It does not damage your hair and the results are extremely natural. The only downfall is you have to get it in an Aveda salon, it's not sold with other OTC coloring products. In the end it's worth it to get great results and have healthy natural looking hair.

    Nice and Easy definately.
I have been using nice and easy for several years and I love it....and my hair is always soft and smooth when I am done, which is great for my hair because it is very curly and will dry out fast with out moisturizers....but I have also tried going to a salon and I have never been anymore satisfied with the end results at a salon than with nice and easy, and the nice and easy lasted longer and cost a lot, a lot, did I say a lot, less....just be sure if you do it yourself to follow the instructions for the test before you color all of your hair. I have heard of people having bad results.....
Nice and Easy is not nice and easy it is the harshest (is that a word) color out there.

Coloring Gray is really very tricky because you are coloring pigmentless (is THAT a word) hair. It is very hard to formulate correctly.

Seriously consider go to a professional for this.
In order to cover grey you have to use permanent hair color. You have to open the cuticle. Wella(at Sallys) has color for grey hair that works great. Look at the color swatches they have to match with natural hair color. Good luck!!! They also have ';pencils'; that you apply daily if you don't want permanent color.
Any color line that is amoania free is good. Any semi permanent color is good too. Use one that is for gray hair. The best way to not damage your hair by coloring it all the time is to just do the roots every month after the first time you do it. If your ends are faded then you can put it on your ends for the last 5 minutes or so. You can even spray on some conditioner before you put the color on it. Hope this helps.
Go to a salon and get it done. Anything you buy from the store that will cover gray hair is a lot harsher than professional products. The only gentle color from the store is semi-permanent colors and they will NOT cover gray. I like Redken ColorFusion for my clients with gray hair. It works great and is very gentle.

if you're doing something that drastic, id go to the hairdresser.
Whatever your hair dresser is using! Sorry but, for such a drastic change, I would be inclined to visit a professional hair colourist who knows precisely what they are doing. This is doubley true if this is the first time you're colouring your hair. I have medium brown hair and when I tried to turn myself blonde, I wrecked my hair for about the next two years. Not fun!

If you're determined to go it alone, I quite like the Schwartzkopf (sp?) range of hair dyes, but I only dye my hair reddish these days so couldn't say for lightening. Sorry!
If you are making that drastic of a change you should go to a professional...don't risk doing it yourself, you'll just end up with orange hair.
If your hair is naturally brown/black the only way really is to use bleach. Hair dye can only lift so many levels of hair color. I would recommend going to the salon for this and also ask for a deep conditioner. You should also buy some leave in conditioner to use daily. Bleach will kill your hair if not taken care of properly.

Go and get your hairdresser to do it. If you use store bought dye it will turn it orange or yellow.
Go to the salon they will have to strip it 1st then color it to blonde.

going from dark brown to blonde on your own is not laways the best idea. many people have red pigments in their hair, and we go from dark to light, those red pigments remina and stand out. therefore you may end up with orangey hair. I would suggest you do it in steps, you should never colur your hair more than 2 steps from your present hair colour. so try dying like a light brown first. also pick colours with ash in it, this will help to minimize red and brassiness. nice and easy or any loreal hair coluring product are good. What is a good hair coloring product to dye dark brown to blonde?
The best thing to do is go about this gradually - DO NOT USE A BLONDE BOX OF HAIR COLOR right away

(I've done this and ended up with orange ORANGE hair)

I recommend using Revlon Frost and Glow (It's about $10 a box) - This is a highlighting system, use all the hole in the cap (you will probably need someone to help you with the back).

I would do this once - wait a couple of weeks and do it again.

I have medium brown hair and am looking for for a temporary way to make my hair blonde. Any suggestions? What is the best temporary hair coloring product?
There is no such thing as temporary blonde.

Blonde is lack of pigment. You have to lift out your pigment (with ammonia or peroxide) of your hair to go blonde the only thing you can do with temporary color is go darker or change the tone.

Okay, maybe it's just a TX thing, but we have Color Pulse. I have blond hair and I died it a color called Funky Cherry and I got really great results. It lasts about 8-10 washes. I have blond hair and is stained easily from dark color dyes (learned the hard way) and when I rinsed it out for the last time, my hair was back to normal! It's not harsh and has AMAZING results!!!
the one with the little chick in the commercial... Natural Instincts

Highlights are bleach - I'm a highlighted blonde who attempted to go back to dark blonde after 4 highlights. It took me 6 tries to remove all the unevenness in my hair and then it kept washing out so i went back to blonde. Natural Instincts doesn't harm your hair and washes out after 28 washes. About the length of a menstrual cycle [if you wash your hair every day]
    try henna
Henna is a great all natural products to use in your hair. The only problem is it is like washing your hair with mud. It can be a little messy and a little hard to wash out, but it is the best for your hair.

Natural Instincs is great too, but a little harsher. It is easier to apply and rinse out, but it is also not as goo for your hair.

    Have fun dying!
you need to add highlights, just keep adding them until it completes all the strands... although if you have a red tint to your hair the highlights might look orange! be careful
use henna, it is natural and can be found in most beauty stores. It is also very healthy, it makes your hair shinier!
I saw my friend using a European ';Betz Black-Hair Restorer'; %26amp; the color is nice %26amp; natural. It actually gives a natural brown shade instead of the artificial dark shade. You could email the company for info: BETZhair@gmail.com

Are there any hair coloring products that don't damage your hair?

all hair dyes damage your hairAre there any hair coloring products that don't damage your hair?
like someone said ALL HAIR DYING PRODUCTS DAMAGE YOUR HAIR. there's no other way to change the actual color without doing that.

so this is a dumb question in that sense but there's definitely ones that damage less so still some value..Are there any hair coloring products that don't damage your hair?
the safest products are ones without bleach or ammonia. going to a professional and having them do it would be the safest.
Use henna. It's some indian plant. I am not so sure about it. One of my indian friends told me about it.
ALL hair color does NOT damage your hair.....As long as you are not using any with any type of lift...use any color with 10 volume or less developer and you will be fine... Redken Shades or Logics Imprints are GREAT!!!!!
L'Oreal Color Pulse is a semi-permanent color. Didn't really damage my hair and it smells fruity! Theres no ammonia and no peroxide in it.

What is a good hair coloring product to use on black hair?

I have black hair and its really hard to color it. I was wondering if anyone knew of a hair coloring product that really shows up on black hair. What is a good hair coloring product to use on black hair?
Whatever you're using has probably been overused. Those box colors come with 20 volume and it's way too harsh to keep applying over and over. It opens up the cuticle of the hairshaft and the color won't hold on. Only 10 volume should be used to prevent this as you only want to deposit color.. ....so when you have a regrowth, you should only tint the roots and run it thru the ends for the last 5 min. to freshen it.

My guess is that your hair is now overprocessed and you need to use a protein (CAT by Redken) followed by a good moisturizing cond. I know they have a newer product that has both but I can't remember the name of it. You could call a Redken salon, or a pro supplier (Maly's) , find out what it is, and then find out where you can get it.

I always suggest having color done professionally since they have the knowledge to prevent these problems. But get it conditioned first, and if you absolutly can't go to a pro, maybe try a good beauty college, since they have more knowledge than you do, they have all the products (May not have the redken though), and they are supervised.

edit....I misread your question and thought you wanted a good black to hold. There is no color that will lighten tinted hair. so since it's now tinted you will have to use bleach or a color remover. If you have natural black, and didn't color it, then you could use different reds, or browns, but again it's better to go pro since they would know better. What is a good hair coloring product to use on black hair?
that is not true i did it today and it worked!!!!!!

none ,, to get color to show against black hair youll have to lighten it.

I have tried just for men and it doesn't last long. Would you recommend getting it colored at a hair stylist or professionally? What is the best hair coloring product to get rid of gray hairs?
How gray are you? If it's about 1/4 to 1/2 gray, then you shouldn't try permanent color, you should have it ';blended'; out.

Go to a professional colorist that uses Redken. There is a product from Redken, meant for just this purpose, it's called Color Camo. It's for men. It only takes about 15 minutes to do, it's inexpensive, and you can have it done when you go in for your haircut. Plus, it's not really high maintenance because it's not ';permanent haircolor'; therefore you aren't going to get ugly gray roots.

I am a professional hairdresser, and I use this on my male clientele. They love that it's geared towards men and it only takes a few minutes at the shampoo bowl. They don't have to sit there with color on their head.

What hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?

My hair color is a dyed black hair and it is fading out and i am thinking about dying my hair red but i dont want it to be a auburn color.

What hair coloring product should i use? What hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?
If your hair is already dyed black you can't go lighter unless you go to a professional to have the black color lifted with bleach then the new color can be applied. I would not recommend this. It is very, very damaging to the hair. This is not a procedure you can do at home....consult a professionalWhat hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?
im the same... i think it may have to be pre-lightened first!! im bothered bout the roots being really nice red and the rest of it looking faded!! hope we find the answer... haaa
Yes, it's true, haircolor will not lift/lighten haircolor. You will have to use bleach to lighten the faded ';black'; to a desirable red shade. It is a very tricky procedure and extremely difficult to do at home. If you are on a budget and cannot afford this corrective haircolor procedure *this is corrective color and is more expensive), then visit a Beauty School for the service. Beauty Schools tend to be much less expensive than a Salon, as services are rendered by students, and supervised by Instructors.

The other option you have is to simply have highlights added to your hair to lighten specific strands vs your entire head. After the highlights are finished, your hairdresser can apply a demi-permanent haircolor over the highlights to give you the red shade you want. The red could also be applied over the faded black to even out the color and add a hint of red. If you don't like auburn, I suggest you go with a Red-Violet based red that will give you a cool red/plum shade.

What hair coloring product will be best for my hair extensions?

I've tried a lot of products and I just cant seem to find a right one. Im just trying to dye the ends (tip) of my extensions like a honey bronze color (my hair is dark brown). For hair extensions, Redken color products work great for hair extensions. What hair coloring product will be best for my hair extensions?
honey bronze won't suit it. I would get black. any product that is at least 4 pounds is ok to use, and since it is human hair then you can dye it with any ahir dye.

Definitely use Garnier Nutrisse in the green and yellow box. The smell isn't as harsh as other ones, and it makes your hair SO SO shiny. And a tip: go one or two shades lighter than the one you think is best, because box hair dye always comes out darker than you thought it would.

How long do i wait before i change to a new hair color product?

if you have just had your hair coloured wait a week to re dye it. dont use a thick moisturizer if you are going to colour it will act as a barrier, shampoo only then condition after you have dyed hair and leave the conditioner on for 5 minutes to re hydrate the hair. Root touch up after 6 weeks, no need to re colour the rest of your hair, this is how people end up with different tide marks through out their hair. How long do i wait before i change to a new hair color product?
as soon as your hair gets longer it needs a re-touch for the roots to get the same color. however, they say it's 6 months.

Wella has great products in a wide array of blue. Go for it.
Just make sure it is ';water soluble'; dye so it will wash out with soap and water!! Any water soluble type will do!!
Go to Sally's Beauty Supply and ask the associates for help in getting your hair the right blue. They will help and it would look a whole lot better than store bought color. Because that stuff ruins your hair.

    Just curious, why blue?
To actually achieve the blue colour that your probably want, you will have to strip the colour from your hair (bleach) which will make the color harder to get rid of. There are some temporary colours such as Hothead http://www.kidzworld.com/site/p977.htm. It won't be as extreme as you are picturing, but not as permanent either.

    Hi Tracey,

ColourFX, sold in Boots and superdrug do a really good ';intense colour spiking gel'; with the added advantage of a UV glow - cost about 拢3 but the week before Christmas boots had a buy one get one free offer.

It depends upon the length of your hair as to how much you need to use. (mine is very short and only needs about 2-3 pea-sized blobs for all over colour) The brightest (very bright!) colour is achieved with blonde (or grey) hair. I have never had it run down my face although I have never braved it in more than a drizzle.

A hair mascara is also a good option but you will need 3 or four for all over coverage on long hair.

    All the best
for best results, i sugest going to a salon. you can do it there.
when i colored my hair blue i used easter egg dye. it is not permanent.

part of it is how you rinse out your hair, when a stylist does it, he/she tends to really rub your scalp clean, you may not be doing that, also they can see what they are doing where as you can not...I myself have never noticed my scalp being tinted after dying my own hair.

I have been a stylist for about 7 years now, and my experience with them has not been the best as far as trying to color over them with a professional color or fixing them. Whenever I try to color over them, they always have what seems to be a purpleish hue. I also find they are very drab when I see them on ppl that come in. Best hair color is at a salon, a little more pricey but well worth it. 100% coverage and more natural looking, not so drab.

Hi, I experienced the same problem as you! But, the best wash-in wash out hair colour for me, was from super-drug. I have dirty blonde hair too, so not many hair colours show up well, but this one was very good. It only costs 97p and comes in a variety of colours including brown colours. I'm not sure if you have super-drug in america, but that is the best place to get hair dyes from in england. I hope this helps!
Really, I use a semi-permanent blackish color. It was to test if I liked it, and it fades back to my normal reddish-brown pretty well. There's really no such thing as a temporary hair dye, though. There are tinted mousses out there, and sprays at costume shops, but other than that you're going to go into a realm of no return (or at least partial return). Hair dyes of all varieties will fade, but from my experience, never 100% completely.

Really, it's fun to try new hair colors. It's like reinventing yourself.

If you're weary, hair dressers will usually do a consultation to match your coloring and let you know if it's a good idea or not.
One really good wash out product is Clairol Natural Instincs. It will make you hair soft and healthy and it comes out within 28 washes, or there is a different one from Clairol that will come out in 6-12 washes. You can get them at a local Rite-aid or Shop-RIte.

What hair color product should i buy?

my hair is black and I've tried coloring my hair into a medium ash brown, but it doesn't really show. what's the best product for my hair? What hair color product should i buy?
Avoid anything that says ASH. There is potential to end up with a green or purple tint! and not the cool kind, either.

use a blond first. it isn't good for your hair because it strips it but then your hair will take color MUCH easier. have the brown you want so that if it comes out too blond, (it might even have a bleachy brassy orange tint to it) you can darken it to brown. just don't get a brown that's really dark, or you'll end up going to almost black again. get a brown that's 1 or 2 shades lighter than you're aiming for.

when i used to dye my hair, i preferred Nice N Easy. it really is simple and as long as you know to avoid ASH, just use the pictures on the box of what it could do to black hair as a guide. that always helped me.

also when you use nice and easy after a bleaching, your hair goes back to being as soft as wabbits.

i usually didn't wait very long in between colorings. sometimes i did the 2nd color the next day.

VERY BEST BET THOUGH: avoid becoming a slave to the dye bottle in the first place and keep your beautiful natural color! :-)What hair color product should i buy?

Hot Topic has some really nice hair dyes that won't damage your Hair. Plus they have some colors that you won't see anywhere else. Also at Walgreen's they have some semi-permanent hair dyes that come in a shinny orange bag. Those are supposed to be alot less damaging then the traditional dyes. My stylist told me that if your dying your hair to a darker color that it actually promotes better health in your hair because your enriching it with color instead of stripping it with bleach. Good Luck! Hope i could help! : )
Hair dye will damage your hair no matter what... you won't really be able to tell though unless you bleach it.

Look for something in the level 6 range that says neutral brown or neutral warm brown. It depends on the tone you want to add to your hair. Warm is going to add a bit of gold, a plain neutral will cover grey and keep it more of a natural plain brown. So to me it looks like a 6n, 6nw, 6 natural brown. No. Box hair colors only work if they are within a few shades of your own colour. L'Oreal has a few dyes that will go from black to brown, but nothing for black to blonde. Such a drastic change should be done in a salon by a colour pro. It's easy to wreck your hair if you try this yourself.

you will need to see a proffessional. depending on the depth of hair, it will throw red orange or gold. you need to counteract this with different colours that you buy. it needs to be a cool colour such as ash. it depends whether your desired colour is lighter than your natural colour, or your natural colour is in fact natural or you have previously coloured it. if so it is way safer to use a proffessional. you may end up ginger!
    Perfect 10.

What is a good hair color product that I could use that is non-permanent and comes in unnatural colors?

yeah..What is a good hair color product that I could use that is non-permanent and comes in unnatural colors?
jim b knows what he is talking about....use any color with much caution. I too, have seen so-called temporary colors, with teary eyed owners, looking real weird months later. Good luck. :-)What is a good hair color product that I could use that is non-permanent and comes in unnatural colors?
paul mitchell has a line called ';ink works'; you would have to find a salon in your area that uses their line. go to paulmitchell.com

or I like manic panic-which if they don't have the color you like in the store-manicpanic.com

    :)
Although most people will tell you to bleach your hair first or even use Loreal products, do they really know what's best for your hair? probably not. First it all depends on how healthy your hair is first before trying any color. the one person telling you to go to Sally's is correct. They have some really great colors. As far as Loreal product goes, it the color may last longer, but it also is a metallic dye. Not good for the hair. If you are a medium brown, using bleach is very harsh on the hair because you will have to leave it on for a long period of time(55 minutes) or even have to do a double process of bleaching since your hair will require at least 5-7 stages of lift. While two of the stages are red and orange. So please take my advice, I am a stylist and been doing it for 11 years. I see a lot of customers screw up their hair because they take advice from others who do not know that much about color. Most of the people who answer are not stylists and did not go to school for hair. Hope my advice helps you.
There are a line of hair products called manic panic. you can find them at any Sally's salon supply store for about $6.00 . They are non perment and wash out after about ten or so washings depending on your hair. They work on any hair colour but for a real dramtic effect you should bleach your hair, espically if you have darker brown( if your going for blue or vampire red)

They have some great colours with great names. Pinks, florescents, yellow( not blonde..yellow) green, and my favorite..midnight blue.

    good luck and have fun!
be careful...especially if you have light hair. no such thing as a non permanent color if the hair is porous enough it will stain no matter what. I have seen so many people use things that are ';temporary';that they can never get out.
Try Loreal Color Pulse. It's a 10 washes type of product and it is pretty cheap. It comes in plum (purple), bright red, blue, and i think orange. Go to a beauty products store , like Ulta, they will have every product imaginable.

    Good Luck!

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

Yes, it does. Some products to a lesser extent, but still, they all damage your hair.

The longer the color remains in your hair, the greater the damage. This means that coloring shampoos or henna cause less damage, but they won't change your hair color that much, specially if it is dark, and the color won't last for too long as well.

No matter what product you decide to use, make sure you also use moisturizing shampoos and hair conditioning specifically made for dyed hair.Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

all product info is appreciated.thanks, this a good website.Do you know of a good inexpensive hair color product for grey hair?
    inexpensive... Clariol from Sallys...

expensive yet worth it... Redken Shades EQ... which you can only find at a hairsalon... it will blend your grey instead of making it noticable when its time to recolor... visit your trusty sylist... she'll know what to do (this is a demipermanent color so it is not permanent)Do you know of a good inexpensive hair color product for grey hair?
I know you asked for product info but remember that as we age and our hair turns grey, the lines in our faces are softened by the grey. Light or grey hair color makes our faces look younger. Dark color looks harsher and shows the wrinkles.
clairil is about 3 dollars the peroxide is about 4.00 the peroxide will last for a year that is the quart size . it doesnt get cheaper than that just buy a color 3.00 once a month

I am looking for a commercial hair coloring products that are natural?

Natural Instincts by Clairol, or Nutrisse by Garnier, although they have SOME chemicals, they are minimal and use a lot of natural ingredients.I am looking for a commercial hair coloring products that are natural?
If you look up Aveda, you will see that they are based largely on being natural products. You can look up any Aveda concept salon (a salon that uses only Aveda) and they should be able to do it for you!!

Good luck!!I am looking for a commercial hair coloring products that are natural?
I use henna for my hair, it turns it a coppery red. There are many different commercial henna blends, but one company I've used that seems reliable is light mountain. They have a bunch of colors using henna, cassia and indigo as the coloring agents.

Personally as of recently I have been using just straight henna from the local world market for only about $2 a box.. so it only costs me $1 each time, but the pre-blended stuff is good for if your not sure about experimenting on your own.
    Heanna's are good.
sally's beauty supply stores do offer natural items but also ck natural beauty stores
